January Moon
Moon rise was beautiful tonight. According to the Farmers' Almanac, the January moon is also known as the Full Wolf Moon named for wolves howling hungrily in the cold and deep of mid-winter. It is also referred to as the Old Moon or the Moon after Yule. Her quiet beauty is cool and aloof. Neither photograph nor painting does justice to the picture in my mind.
